John Deere 6r mirror arm broken.

I can't find anything on Google etc.
Wonder if nick young can get them?
Will give them a call.
Do seem a rubbish design.
I'll get her to joins that, I think I used to be a member of that but deleted FB a few years ago. Wasted too much time on it.

For something like that I wouldn't bother with his stuff we've had stuff from him and some has been more successful than others at fitting where it should

As said above ring Rowland tractors, they are very good.

Looks like the original part that is broken is monkey metal, the replacement will be a lot stronger

Heaps have failed, if not the block inside the block inside and the motor to move them in and out.

Going to be pricing up the bigger r series without electric mirrors when I'm looking to change it.
I wonder how many have failed that JD won't do a recall on them, wishful thinking I know...

Saw this on FB the other week

Quality fix.
At least it stops the bloody thing wobbling about.

All mirror arms come out if the factory too tight
loosen them off enough to deflect when hitting the overhanging hedges but not too much so they vibrate
this has stopped us breaking them
also when hedge cutting do a run at mirror height on regular routes where the council will not cut the verge bushes back

What bolts do you loosen? The hedgecutting idea sounds great except you‘d spend half the season doing that here in Ireland and for free if it’s not your own customer, and then find the odd pr*ck that wants their hedges blocking the road and comes out giving out, there seems to be no rules on keeping roadside hedges cut here in Ireland.

FFS, why are modern tractors so bloody complicated? It’s not really progress is it? Just some little twerp in a design office thinking to himself, “Today I’ll add a little electronic gizmo because I can, even though it will be pointless.”
Surely there’s not enough money in the job these days to pay for all the extra ‘toys’ that manufacturers are foisting on buyers?
