I have a new 155r ultimate waiting in the dealers yard for me to decide it it is worth the price tag or cancel the order !! Does the ultimate spec come with Autotrac activation ??? Might be thick but can’t decide from JD literature and salesman says “ yes ... well I think so “ :/
Current 155r should have come with autotrac but was only aututrac ready and don’t want to make the same mistake again !! £££££

Now Then..
Your dealers salesman should know what specification it is. If not, send him to find out!!
It depends how it was ordered. Autotrac ready is just that, it would need a Starfire receiver and activation, though that depends on the level of accuracy you want.
You need a spec sheet with the actual total price at the bottom. Have yr man sign it and possibly his manager sign it too..

Not all tractors are green and yellow!!

Well as he used to own the company you would think he’d know wouldn’t you [emoji23][emoji23] A self confessed dinosaur when it comes to gps and I’m only learning still !! Have a 3000 dome to go on off current 6155 (which I’ve almost used the demo time up on)

If you're trading a tractor just keep/ swap the activation code for the steering it's on the tractor not the dome. The dome will go straight on and work on sf1 but if I was you I'd try to wrangle a 6000 dome in with the new tractor

Thought the activation code stayed with the tractor if it was put into the armrest but could be moved with the 2630/ 4640 screen etc ??
Trouble is the firm I plant spuds for hire in 6000 domes on rtk and 4640 Screens with section control activation etc limiting my need for the technology

I thought the activation was on the dome. Had a 6155r on borrow as we needed front pto for mowing while waiting for new tractor to arrive.
Just took receiver off old tractor and plugged into borrowed one no problem.

Pretty sure activation is with the processor either tractor one (4600) or the 2630/4640 add on screen ?

i would say right now many dealers would run around the depot naked it if got them a sale !

negotiate hard - i doubt and dealer is going to let any genuine buyer walk !

Yeah it's in the screen / tractor and if it's a 2630 simply move the screen

Dealer will know ,activation used to be transferable then it was reduced in price and stayed with tractor but think its reverted to the original option but this may just be the new M series that don't have the brain as part of tractor.

I’m sure there must be some room for haggling ... £15 a clock hour to change seems excessive so I’m quite prepared to walk away leaving the tractor in their yard
My 6930 has done 2500 hours since I bought it and he tells me that it’s still worth nearly what I paid for it ?

To put it simply

Domes have activation for sf2/3 or rtk in them

Screens/ tractor has the steering activation

They were saying a while back that that steering activation on R series were not transferable but I know someone who swapped several over the last few years. So if you've already got a 6155 with an activation it'll be transferable to a new 6155
