Johnston, miner strike.

I agree the unions were way out of order but it is a sad day for a country when the police are beating down the working man or waving their pay cheques at people. That is the very essence of a class war and was totally wrong on all levels. The miners and the communities they came from were a valuable asset that should have been gently helped into other industries or regions.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I understood it was not Thatcher that closed down the pits but the coal board it’s self, wasn’t the problem that the police were trying to keep them open to those who choose to work rather than strike & make them worthless.

If only it was!
Mrs visited a client who works behind the scenes in london and says it is an act, he grasps stuff very quickly and makes his mind up while those around him are still discussing the subject, when he goes on camera he ruffles his hair up to male it look a mess, his opponents have underestimated him for a long time

well, I thought I was turning a bit pessimistic these days....
But not so much, compared to some, it would seem
How many politicians are honest open and earnest ? That woman from the far east( cant remember her name) was it Myanmar ? was the popular hero of her citizens and the world, last I heard she was locking her people up as fast as she could, blair the great hope sent hundreds to their death on a lie.
Cant think of too many that have the worlds respect for long

All very well making your mind up quickly if you come to the right decision, not sure past history will show Bozo’s grasp on anything is that strong!

Everything Thatcher did would have happened anyway; the only thing that she did was speed the process up. I concede that it could have been handled a lot more sensitively, however but the unions were having none of it.

Johnson is no idiot, I've heard he is ruthless and has a mind like a razor.
Too right he’s playing the population. The idiot act puts him on the level of the vast majority of the population which is where his support base is. Everything he does is planned. He knows what the public want and is very good at manipulating public opinion. A toff like Rees-Mogg is unelectable Johnson is a different matter as he doesn’t make anyone feel (or tries) that he’s superior to them.

No chance it seems people are so stupid that Johnson could say ‘We’re going to sell poor northern children to the Arabs’ and people would still vote for him as it’s better that we send our kids there than foreigners coming here.

Always amazes me how those who think they are "Better" than the Conservatives commit daily ill deeds most ordinary people wouldn't even think of.

Something seriously wrong with you IMHO.

Unlike all the clever fuggers who said brexit voters were thick uneducated racists, and people wonder why Boris is popular, he doesnt patronise people .
Does all his shagging about put him in a good light ? No but once again most politicians do it unlike Clinton he didnt lie on telly about it .

Scargill made the situation a lot worse and the Labour Party played their part - Militant Labour is still active today.

Oh dear.

So in your opinion a "Toff" is a worthless sack of water then ? And yet we are to believe that some people are not "Racist". Yeah right, pull the other one.

Never been to the Cadbury estate ? I could attempt to sway the thoughts but let's face it .. there's some deep routed muck in there.

Compare and contrast Cadbury with any of the "Liberal" Billionaires.

I don’t wonder at all why he is popular he knows his public. He’s very clever but it doesn’t make for a good leader in my view.
