With respect, western states at the local level of law enforcement are a practical bunch.
I understand its' not quite the same situation in socialist led Chicago...?

Roger that was not the case in the high profile case just concluded in Georgia. Local police let it slide, but 3 men were convicted of murder. You can not ignore the law as a means to protect from prosecution. It also hurts your chances if it is recorded.
