Yes we have been talking.
Basically the pickup chain broke and wrapped around the reduction gearbox that drives it. Ripped it out the side of the wagon. 🙄 don’t think mines only one. Seen several pictures of repaired ones.
Engineer has had it for 8 months saying he could repair it but progress is virtually non existent.
Seems a shame to scrap it as was sound machine but looks like it’s days are over.

Thought had never crossed my mind 😮
After 3 weeks not feeding grass in august I bought my grass tech zero grazer.
Would it be too late now?
No idea tbh.

Heard of someone hitting a stone with mower they heard the bang, kept driving bed seized and claimed on insurance.

Anything is possible

Thanks for sharing the parts diagram, there is a complete gearbox available in France for 770 Euros.

If your used to claiming on every little thing, then go for it, personally I prefer to not claim, rather keep my premiums low untill I have a major expensive claim.
I agree but If the parts aren't available and it's written off then that's a big claim.

Pretty pleased. Do your research as lots of updates done. Drawbar, stub axles and gone from galfre to Kuhn mower.
Only one mines not got is mower and I will do at some point although it’s been ok so far.
How do you find it compares to using a wagon? Is grass quality in terms of presentation and keep ability any different?
Cheers

Seems to be serious money in new zero grazers, currently using a Ed Walley machine which is pretty bomb proof but getting a bit tired, been musing over a second hand grass tech machine or ordering a new Walley machine which Harbrook engineering are manufacturing again in small batches
