Kuhn John Deere front mower

Following on from my mchale mower thread I’ve been pricing a Kuhn front moco. Dearer than mchale and bit heavier but better mower ?? Years ago they were the thing to have now folks on too Claas which is defo an option but I’m probably needing a mower with all the suspension for undulating ground and the Claas is dear for that model . Thoughts on the new style kuhn/John Deere??

We've just completed our 3rd season with ours, I'm well pleased with it so far although it's our first front moco so I have no basis for comparison.
Cuts and follows the ground well and not too heavy IMO

JD 6175r with 3 metre mounted on the rear. I find it pretty well balanced set up, tractor is more than man enough for the job with enough hp to maintain output on banks.
Can average probably 14-15 acres/hr in smaller fields and pushing on for 20/hr in good going at 18-20k if ground conditions allow.
GPS definitely helps too as I only cut out 12 metre bouts so minimal running on headland turns with the rear mower always on the inside unless negotiating an obstacle

Have Kuhn front / rear just finished season 4 . Been pretty bomb proof so far - had a couple of nasty's through it out contract cutting. Find it better built than pottinger it replaced with equal if not better ground following.
First couple seasons on a JD 6630 (mapped) pushing the limits but got job done with reasonable output, now on a 6150r , much better balanced outfit ( mapped for 2nd season )
