Cousins make onejob to find good ones now and im not sure if they are made new now by anyone. dowdeswell made one like it once a upon a time as well.
We used to use loads of stuff to get it level all types of harrows nothing beats a power harrow you can nearly get away with 1 pass with a good one just roll plough furrows firstPower harrow
Put some new tines on it and whack it in deeper or conversely get your ploughman to plough shallower (and maybe learn to plough!!)We are on pretty light ground/sandy loam, always find power harrow leaves it looking great on top but feel the ridges underneath
We had a speed Harrow which did a good job but really needed 200hp to get to a decent depth, and our tractor didn’t quite have enough grunt reallyCousins make one
There too use to ploughing for maize around here, can’t get anyone to plough at 6”, half the time there trying to bury god knows how much slurry inPut some new tines on it and whack it in deeper or conversely get your ploughman to plough shallower (and maybe learn to plough!!)
A 3m speed Harrow type thing would be idealWe had a speed Harrow which did a good job but really needed 200hp to get to a decent depth, and our tractor didn’t quite have enough grunt really
4m one will be ok on 100hp unless steep ground. We had a speed Harrow which did a good job but really needed 200hp to get to a decent depth, and our tractor didn’t quite have enough grunt really
