As I understand the neck bar is not adjustable and the quality nowhere near the same but will be cheaper ,Once you have identified you need yokes I wouldn't consider going for a cheap one it won't perform the same or last as long ,We have supplied 1000s of spaces and never had a complaint if you want a competitive price get in touch

I quite like my Gea gates. All locking stuff easily accessable and the locking handle can be placed anywhere. We used to have some problems with cows pulling out of the old gates (de boer), the new ones can't do that due to a different design of the lock. Could've just been age though.
No experience whatsoever with other brands.

Went to see a neighbours before deciding what to buy, think they were called Agritube. They looked a very similar design (cheap copy maybe?) of the Jordain ones and were mostly broken, very few actually locked properly. Another neighbour has the Jordains and were as good as the day they went in. So we’ve just bought some Jordain ones. Early days but happy with them.

Last weeks job repairing monkey metal IAE cubicles I’ve wrapped my sandwich’s with metal thicker than what they use to make these.

8 spaces in a 15’ bay is ample for fat friesian type bulling heifers, would easily squeeze 9 in if they were leaner holstein types. So I reckon you’d get 11 into a 20’ bay no problems.

How much were they if you don’t mind me asking? Thinking about fitting them everywhere to make TB and vaccinating easier.

Anyone got the Jourdain ones? Are you pleased with them? Also how many spaces would you recommend for heifers on a 20 feet run?

Yes/90% - they can and do break at some of the welds if a lot of pressure is put on them but that would be common to most/all makes. They are quiet in operation but can seize if not used much ie the plastic "guillotine" that locks the yoke in to place may not travel until prodded

10 spaces max

Just brought beef cattle in, 2 yr old steers and got some who wont put heads through. Not a problem last year with same size cattle.
Any tips to help?
We had a group like that, we starved them with bale just far enough Infront to make them come in and stand. With 24 hours they were all in eating, horns don't work in them though😁
