I dont think it would be as easy for top emptying tanks with no bottom outlet though?I started a thread on something similar a few days ago.
Think the conclusion that was reached was use gravity. If you have a induction hopper you can measure into get a pipe and put ibc higher up and just measure it out into hopper.
I would like a pump with a flow meter for manganese I buy in ibcs. Seem to spend a lot of time filling and emptying buckets when filling sprayer.
I wasn't aware you got ibcs with no bottom outlet. I have never seen one. Its a good idea from a safety point of view though.I dont think it would be as easy for top emptying tanks with no bottom outlet though?
If it was bottom emptying like most add blue IBC,s then gravity is all you need like you say.
Cant believe spilt add blue is any better than roundup for the environment though.
Yes, we have just siphoned out bottom emptying IBC,s for years , gravity is reliable and simple .... I dont see what top emptying brings to the party if the outlet tap and dispensing gun are switched off properly in the first place. It is still possible to siphon inadvertently from the top of the IBC unless the pump is mounted up there as well IMO.I think @Feldspar may have dealt with this one from memory?I wasn't aware you got ibcs with no bottom outlet. Do you know how much they cost ?

All of our 1000 l shuttles for chemical & liquid fert have a bottom opening / valve - even ParaquatI wasn't aware you got ibcs with no bottom outlet. I have never seen one. Its a good idea from a safety point of view though.
It looks very similar to an adblue IBC,Did anyone find a decent pump for IBC's

Not readily available here. What brands of pump do you use in Australia? Why not just use a chemical pump ?
Can’t you buy them with the correct fittings & a meter, all ready to go ?
That looks much better connector than UK adblue, they similar with valve in centre, but UK doesn't have the bayonet style part, just a lip for the pump connector to clip onto, it's like a u shaped part, works ok it weight of pipe hangs in right direction to hold top of U down, quite often had to tie pipe in right direction to lever on the U.

Picture probably explain better
