Medical Apartheid in the state of Victoria

Because we will never get on top of COVID, with all these anti vax persons.

The vaccine reduces the severity of your symptoms, it doesn't stop you catching or spreading it. Indeed if you actually don't feel too bad when you catch it, you're probably more likely to go out as normal and spread it?!

I'm afraid I don't understand the logic. Take what precautions you need to for your own health and then you don't need to worry about everyone else's choices? My kids have had their measles jabs (and all the other jabs they were offered) so therefore if they're at school and nursery with children who haven't had their measles jabs, it doesn't matter?

You deem Measle protection ok, but not COVID,
Both an all round protection, ?
At 63 I’ll take the risk of vaccination, against COVID,
I understand the risks of an unproven vaccine, but it’s all we have in what is a worldwide pandemic,
What answer do you suggest ?

Okay so,
No one ever got vaccinated, !!
where would we be now, ?
You are mixing up types of vaccines. These new Covid vaccines are still experimental and of a very different type. My own opinion is that children should not be given experimental vaccines as the simple facts are that they are largely at very minimal risk of the virus. If you are older, have other conditions, you may chose to and that's fine by me. Adults can make choices. Why give children a vaccine which will no doubt cause many of them harm when there is absolutely almost zero risk of them having adverse risk of Covid. That is reckless and abusive.

No man made global warming, no hugely damaging over population, enough food for all, better quality of life due to less over crowding.
The downside? Lots of premature childhood deaths and probably lots of poor quality of life for those who survive but with complications.

I would be in favour of measles, smallpox, polio etc. being taken, not least because these illnesses affect the young, and I would also be in favour of covid vaccines being given to the vulnerable and anyone else who wants them. At 63 I would think you were sensible to have taken the covid vaccine.

I wouldn't be in favour of giving politicians any more power than strictly necessary, and I would definitely not trust them to ever willingly give that power back. See the way Boris and his chums have just given themselves yet another 6 months of 'emergency' powers under the coronavirus act.

Once they've got away with it over covid, they will try it again and again, once they've got vaccine passports, they will want ever more detailed medical information etc etc. They can't help themselves, they are power mad control freaks.

What’s the word on the ground?

Yep. It's pretty much going to be apartheid here. A vaccine passport or no entry to anywhere is coming.... Can see it a mile away. NO ONE wants to take any responsibility for being negligent for letting it spread....So this will be the new excuse....just as stupid masks have been till now.

State premiers are out of control here. And small business is suffering because of it. The constant lockdowns everytime there is a handful (And I do mean a handful) of cases is disgraceful. All in the name of seemingly electoral popularity.
At least you got a handful of cases. Kids went back to school in the south island on Thursday after 3 weeks at home because of Zero, nothing, no cases of Covid down here.
Lots of things cancelled, that have already been paid for and heaps of restrictions on businesses. Masks everywhere and you have to sign in everywhere according to Jacinda and her merry shower of idiots.
There's a handful of folk 'up north' in hospital with it and they are claiming hospitals in Auckland are stretched. FFS they've had 18 fecking months to prepare and done feck all.
She just thinks if she makes everyone a prisoner it will just go away.

Heard that NZ will be travel banning everyone for next 18 months too. Told anyone overseas if you want to come home, sorry, but not happening.

We have had no cases here (heap across the river an hour away). Yr 12 trial hsc exams cancelled. Major disruption to their preparation for end of year exams which have been pushed back till early Nov. No cases south of Canberra in NSW either. Yet we are classed , like the rest of the state , as an "extreme risk zone" ffs..
