Mobile sheep handling systems

No the standard yard without a drenching race wouldn't be much use.
They aren't cheap but street only having a rappa for 1 year I already wouldn't be without it and it's worth the ££.

Aye, i'm looking to try and get a grant for one.

I don't really want one, but the yard at home is 30yr old and knackered - the grass parks owners have just saw fit to let out the shed the pens are attached to, so they are now useless for working with sheep. And the estate converted the sheep yard into a cattle yard where I winter my hoggs next door so I'm thinking a mobile set up will be the handiest option.

If you get a grant get plenty of kit, full drench race etc, you won't get the grant a second time.....

Exactly my thinking.

Sheep yards are eligible for a 80% grant. So I will be going full bells and whistles (y)

Got a few paper exercises to do first before I can apply for a grant though... it'll be the autumn at the earliest. Hopefully the grants are still on.

Which scheme is the 80% on? Haven't seen any that offer that much.

Different makes suit different systems. I like the rappa, its light and easy to set up, plus it is British made so parts are easy to access and customer service is great

They didn't bring it because they are having enough problems just keeping up with making the regular handling system without extra things to make

It's a good system though ---had a preview a few months ago

Having paid to send out pamphlets announcing the launch at the Sheep Event?:scratchhead:
I walked past a couple of times, could see it wasn’t on display/the stand was busy, so didn’t stop (I’m not in the market anyway).

anyone know what like landquip mobile yards are? Wise agriculture sell them, bit cheaper than a rappa.
Seen them at sheep event in the past.
Thought they looked OK, but didn't study in detail. Liked the idea of the solid top like scotpen, whilst not being quite so sail like!
Shearwell used them at one time in their demos, I enquired but no one seemed to know where they came from.
Would also be interested in user experience.
