Nugent , Hudson or IW

My father in law is looking to buy a new livestock trailer and the 3 manufacturer's above are the choices.
I know that there are others but those are the 3 .
My thinking is that the Nugent would be the better pick it's a lot cheaper than the Hudson.
And the IW are now just assembled in Wales.
I realise the IW will have the greater ability to hold its value but that's not an issue.

Anything but Ifor for me, I was told blatant lies by them over a warranty issue in the past and won't go near them again.

We have a Nugent and they are a good solid trailer that doesn't rattle like our past Ifors did.

We have gone from having an Ifor stock trailer, flat trailer as well as Mrs MJG's horse trailer, all of these have been changed to Nugent over the past few years, not that IforW will give a sh1t about loosing the sale of 3 trailers.

I'd possible look at a Gamic if I was doing more livestock trailer work, but we are ring fenced and the trailer can sit unused for months on end.

Ifors aren’t what they were, I know a lot of people have had problems with them within weeks of buying new ones, the spec of the metal changed about 7or 8 years ago an now they just fall to pieces! I went to see an M Tec the other day and they looked a very solid well built trailer

The Nugent is in stock in the yard, hydraulic ramps yes would be nice to have but it's not really something he is willing to pay the extra for.
The Hudson with decks works out £2500 dearer than the Nugent

Yes I hear they are using thinner steel now, I know when I change my own trailer I don't intend to replace it with another IW

Ive a new 14ft Tri axle Ifor to replace the one before and to be honest I can't see any difference in the steel or anything else for that matter.
Still rattles like hell same as the old one too. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Not saying the IW is the best but the resale value is good and I could get one ex stock before 31 March.
Bought it a fair few dealers away from here too, and even with the haulage it was less than local dealers.
