Would there be a knack to making porridge with it?
Why of course! Tap into a gullible and “prepared” customer base and charge a fancy price and there you have it - a potentially profitable business. Don’t suppose they are going to pay a premium for the raw material though. Its called adding value.
Charging more for the same nutrients.

Precisely!thats why its called "value adding"
producers of any raw material are at the bottom of the ladder

Edit - just looked it up and as others have said it’s soaked and drained oats with plenty of water blended with things like dates or something to sweeten it so it’s mainly water! Gullible public!

I wonder what the by product is used for or disposed of?
probably ends up as stock feed ? Like the by products of oil seed crushing for eg
there would have to be some value in it surely ?
Fed to local pig farms, they were going to build a digester but that's been shelved.I wonder what the by product is used for or disposed of?
There must be.
But would they admit it goes into animal agriculture?
Allergy and Gluten free markets also apparently.im not familiar with the product, but is it being marketed purely as a vegan product, or just as an alternative to a dairy drink ?

Do wild oats count as organic can see a cheap crop to grow , no need for seed or herbicide sounds idyllic100g oats for a litre of oat milk. So about 200g farm fresh oats. That much capacity will be 60,000t organic oats.
I can understand allergy & lactose intolerance, but gluten free ?
Didn’t realise there was gluten in dairy . . .
