Done 1800 hours on my Jan 2019 one.
Only repair has been replacing hydraulic spool coupling.

Electronic spools are awful the splices are made of chocolate and if you can manage too get pipes too stay in them they’ll only work half the time...

7718 and lower back ends are made of chocolate and fall apart at the sight of lots of PTO work

Suspension is pretty comfy but the cabs are like sitting in a pub in the early 80s so uncomfortable and terribly designed

If you have hydraulic top link you’ll never see your hitch again

Tbf we’ve had about 15 77s in the last few years and the problems we’ve had have been pretty minimal but consistent through the tractors

Boost sensors
One half shaft bearing went
Lift arm pins snapped
Every one we’ve had has had atleast 1 spool slice
PTO clutch packs in the arse ends
Indicator arms dropping off
Plastics in the cabs cracking

Apart from that not really any problems with them...

How often do you grease the half shaft bearings?
Spool slices are Bosch I believe, commonly used by many other brands of tractor.
What happens to PTO clutch packs? These are very very seldom an issue for most users.

Chap near here has a 7726 done nearly 3000hrs ,
had a new gearbox, engine rebuild ,spools dont ask and now
add blue problems ,doesn't really sell itself to me.
Bet its a D6 Trans??? they have never really been made strong enough on higher HP masseys its a known fact that now.
Unless you granny the thing too death.
Drop the Fendt Trans in any of them & its a diff story.

I actually think when massey moved away from the Autodrive Dial on the 6400 series to a simplier setup in theory on the 7600 & 7700 they made how the D6 box auto functions work
poss worse then before. i have far more trans options on my 10yr old 6480 than is on any current 7700 thats on same D6 trans.
But you have to understand what they do & work.
Will the D7 & this other Trans they have developed bring folks back who knows?
Dyna-vt for me is just ultra smooth. and i dont use it for some of the other so called benefits as found in Fendts i just drive mine in stick mode all the time.
you can keep all that DTM waffle also its pish poor to use. set revs & go the speed req to do whatever the task is.

Ive worked all Masseys plenty on PTO jobs here esp on 3 & 3.5 & 4m power harrows for 1000's of hours & never had a single issue on any of them

Yep. Very rare. Yet one owner apparently wrecks them regularly. Why do you think that could be?

What does the tractor do? does it have a steady driver? is his Adblu handling spotless?? if the said tractor is under warranty it will all be repaired at not cost to farmer & id sell it before warranty is up & either try a diff model or change brands

Heavy cultivation on a direct drill .
He has extended warranty but it's the down time which adds up.
