Meh . . .

we haven’t been able to buy AN since terrorism concerns in 2001

the only AN you’ll get here is explosives grade, used by the truck load in open cut mines

If showing photo ID to buy fertiliser amounts to a drama, things must be pretty good.
Looks like more of a pain in the arse for the seller than the buyer.

Is this needed even if you have bought from the same supplier for 30 years, order by phone and pay by direct debit?
Reading the posted link, it's another hoop the supplier needs to jump through, so I'd imagine yes.
Hardly a drama though, they'll have a way they want you to do it I suppose. Needs doing every time you order or every 18 months if regularly purchasing, from my quick read.

Yes it will be.
I need to take photo ID along with vehicle doc to my cousin’s garage if I want him to make me a new number plate. Saying I’ve known him all my life doesn’t cut it of law says you need photo ID.

It’s not the end of the world in itself, it’s just another thing added to all the other things that have been, or are in the process of being added.

He either isn’t authorized to supply number plates or he doesn’t care about retaining that authorization?
