good labour is virtually impossible to find, mediocre is very difficult, and poor is hard to find, around here anyway, so hearing tales of bad bosses, makes me wild, should never happen.
young lad l mentioned earlier, is panicking, he started asking around, and now he has to much work, he is going to have to turn a lot down, which he really doesn't want to do, say's it all really.
He would have been laying concrete, 6am tomorrow, if he had stayed, his ex boss, hasn't told his staff yet, because if he did, some wouldn't turn up, and that says it all to.

Which contractors or bigger arable farms are looking for people? I need to find myself something to do pretty pronto, would be grateful if you might point me in a useful direction.

a certain contractor, not very far from where you used to be based, you would know him. More construction work, this time of year.
might be quite keen to hire, at the moment.
or, learn how to relief milk, plenty of 'wanted' there

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
