Where in country are you?
Your previous posts say your 7840 has a loader on.
Fresh rim would be £100.
Cheap.
Where can you get rims from please? Got New Holland rims that have lost paint on outside and corroded on the inside due to ballasting.

watch the video in full, towards the end he talks about 2 examples, one specifically where they had removed the tyre from the bead on one side and proceeded to weld the rim. The chemical reaction happens so fast that the heat produced expanded the atmospheric air within the tyre so quickly it re-seated the tyre before it then exploded, killing one of the 2 fitters working on the job.
I think you need to listen and watch he stated the tyre reseated itself its the super heated air that expands can't escape and cause the tyre to explode

I agree, but what caused the air to become superheated was a chemical reaction within the tyre carcass called pyrolysis, which in turn was initiated by applying heat to the tyre rim.

All in all, my point is, that if applying heat to any tyre rim, the tyre should be completely removed first to fully remove the risk of the tyre exploding due to pyrolysis, regardless whether or not it has air in it or if its seated on the rim.

like I said won't happen if there is no air in it

Have you watched the video to the very end …..
WOW - I thought I knew a bit about wheels and tyres, but ……a potential 22 hour delayed reaction from heat being applied to a wheelnut…..😳

Go on, bore yourself and watch the whole 9 minutes and 50 seconds without skipping - it might just save a life.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
