I have taken on some rough grass.

Current plan graze with sheep direct drill westerwolds and spray the docks.

Either this September or next plough up for wheat. When I've had chance to sort ph p and k etc.

Any other ideas?

I would put some lime on now then more when you plough it , it takes s while to work down , if you put a bit more on after it's ploughed you can work it in better, its going to need 3 ton at least

I would normally put 3/3.5 tonne per acre on that but the contractor says the new way is to put 2 t on and test it again a year or two later then have another go it gets more out of the lime

Could be , not seen any that low mind and grain crops don't like low pH
Would be better worked in though , a lot of lime on top could overload it for a bit , does it not work down an inch a year , but it also needs some now so it can get working
