Rye grass ley - roundup pre or post drilling

Got some ryegrass that was drilled in May into wheat that failed in October as in effect a cover crop and to get some silage off and some roots and matter in the soil.

Would you drill then round up or roundup first. Second how much will be a bout 4 inch tall now.

Roundup, wait 5 days then drill. As per label. I am assuming direct drilling, ours is a tine drill so moves a little soil but not much. If you had discs like a 750a you could maybe get away with glyphosate after drilling but personally i'd go off of the label recomendations for cultivations.

Not sure how thick the sward is, but some interesting discussion on calcifert or similar down the spout to deal with the acidity created by the decomposing grass. Bit off topic I appreciate but maybe useful to look into
