Most baffling is when you phone up to ask the price on POA items they get cross....

Latest wheeze is to tell you " The price I quote is only valid for 7 days ". I can't help feeling amused when the tractor is still in the yard unsold a month later......

Presumably because it's different prices for different people. It lets them hike the price for those ringing up keen.

When i see an ad with poa i just scroll on down. If they cant be upfront about price they deserve to be left stuck with it imho

Or when they advertise a machine.....but its replacement won't be delivered for another 6 weeks.

At the moment, with work, home schooling and farming, machinery purchases are looked at on an evening on the tablet. POA don;t make the short list to be called the next day as i don;t have time to ring all the POA. Its only those who put a price and then there is a shortlist

Some farmers are just fixated on "getting a good deal" i.e. a big discount
If a farmer gets 20% off something ticketed at £5000 he thinks he's getting a better deal than a measly 12.5% off a £4500 priced machine.

I noticed recently on some buy and sell page on fb for farm machinery that only properly priced adverts will be allowed and none with poa or priced somethin like 123456 or 876543. So basicly there sayin either advertise with price or stick ur advert up ur hole. Proper order

I think it's because farm machinery can go up in price and they don't want to be caught out?
Say they value a trailer at 8k but advertise it as POA, but then an identical one sells in an auction for 9k they then ask more for the one in the yard.
It would be more difficult if it was advertised everywhere for 8k!
