I see in today’s Times that the directors of Sirius, the new Potash mine owners in Yorkshire, are struggling to raise finance (£3.6bn!) and therefore there may be “significant doubt over its ability to continue as a going concern”

i have some money invested. not so much but when i invested i consider it will either make me a lot, or lose it all.
When i last looked, id doubled my money, suspect its dropped now.

Apparently as it’s a national park everything has to be transported underground to the processing plant on the coast/harbour. They don’t want wagons on the roads.
I only know this as my best mate works for Siemens who has the contract to put all the electrical infrastructure in the mine to just bore the tunnel. Then they pull it all back out when it’s all tunnelled out.
That’s about as much as I know why they need a 23 mile tunnel.

While i would dearly love that project to be success i just can see any way it is possible to make a profit on that degree of investment should they be able to even secure it I meen 4.2 Billion dollars !!!!!! its not gold or diamonds they are mining not even copper or Nickel seem completely unviable to me at that cost

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
