Speed Camera Detectors

(Yes I have cruise control but wouldn’t use it at 20mph because conditions in built up areas are constantly changing)

Recommendations?
Totally agree , far better to keep eyes on the road rather than a speedo , after all a road traffic policeman said at a presentation , speed doesn't kill , bad driving does.
Anyway most cruise controls can now be switched to speed limiters which mitigates your issue with changing conditions in built up areas, it's just a job to keep remembering to set it as you travel in and out of different speed limits

It's my opinion that using cruise in an urban environment is too dangerous. There may be an occasion when a quick burst of speed is needed.
I will try later but I think if you toe down it will bypass the speed limiter

Adaptive cruise control, will follow the car in front at the distance you set and your still able to overtake. Its speedlimiter you can't overide.

best think about Brexit is no points / fines from cameras now

i’m flat out from the tunnel ! have done more miles in Europe than the uk the last 2 years and not a ticket or point in sight 🙂
How would you feel if one of your kids was killed by a speeding French driver who thought it perfectly acceptable to completeley ignore our speed limits ?

I think some new cars can do it for you

Last time I was in Wales the locals seemed to delight in speaking Welsh in cafes, etc when we were about so we decided there and then that our money wouldn`t be spent that side of the border again - and it hasn`t been! There`s just NO NEED for it - we`d done them no harm and wished them no harm too. Shame really as it`s a very nice part of the world indeed in the north...

Did you ask where the best place in Wales for second home was? They don't like that.
