These seem to be the next big thing just now, a lot of dealers beginning to stock them. Wouldn't be for me though, you won't have lines, but you'll be contaminating all your grass as you would with a splashplate and you'll be losing more ammonia. Could possibly see a use for dairy farmers doing regular cuts though.

Doubt if we’ll be allowed it in Scotland 🤷‍♂️

Why does everyone panic about the lines? Its not affecting the silage if its still there sat on the ground. If it was splash plated the fibre is still there just spread evenly. All the nutrients is washed in in and fibre remains. If your picking it up in the silage perhaps mowers cutting too tight? I wonder if some farmers just use way more straw during winter than others. Theres lines and theres LINES kinda thing.

Its a problem when the lines you see are from the slurry killing the grass underneath. You can see it all season.
