Sprayer flow metre recommendations

I’ve never had one just fill the sprayer to the mark on the tank but thinking as I’m piping up a new tank It might be a good time to get one. Are they battery operated and do you leave them on the tank outlet all the while or take them off and put inside and do they restrict flow. Also what size would I need for a 2”pipe

I have an arag digi wolf, it’s on cam locks with a suction filter on it and I take it off after every fill.
Mine is the 12v one rather than battery so I can use it with the sprayer as a fill flow meter

Bought a digiwolf from @SimpersTradeCounter and it’s brilliant. Neil got it to me straight away, even though he was away - brilliant service.
The digiwolf is simple but very pleased with it.
I’m struggling to understand how useful these are. Are the markings on the sprayer really that inaccurate?

I took the opinion that with RTK guidance and section control, relying on a wobbly float in a tank was the weak link in the chain, even though the Bateman sight gauge seems very accurate.

With large tanks there is often part loads, which is where it works best.

The Bateman is ok on full, but at other points is pretty woeful I've found.

I use an arag one for part loads.

Since using the sprayer with GPS, and it has a feature telling me how much I've used and is left, comparing it to the sight gauge as spraying it does show how inaccurate the gauges are at times.

We found this. I think it’s like a speedo that is calibrated at a certain speed and the rest is based on that calibration but is an extrapolation. Pony flow here. Expensive but quality

Mine in the chafer SP is a nightmare, also thinking about getting something as I only do full tanks now and adjust water rate to fit tank sizes, not ideal 🙈

Digi wolf. My trailed sprayer could be a few hundred litres out of you are on flat ground and had the spirit level out to level it
