Whats the best one,?
Mchale 998 or give me a call & we will wrap them for youWhats the best one,?
Make make the any were from 5ft 6" long to 2 fft depending on what it is & what it is to feed , they all work very wellGeneral question about balein silage/haylage with a 4x3 what length bale would you make and would you expect to get as much as a good round baler in ?
You would get more than a round bale in a 4x3 at 5 foot 6 long.Very expensive on wrap compared to rounds tho.Just wondering as I know someone who tried it when they got they're own baler maybe 7 8 yrs ago so a decent baler and they went back to rounds as they said they used more plastic and weren't getting any more in them but I've absolutely zero experience of it myself.
How many rounds do you get out of roll of plastic putting 6 layers on ?You would get more than a round bale in a 4x3 at 5 foot 6 long.Very expensive on wrap compared to rounds tho.
About 20How many rounds do you get out of roll of plastic putting 6 layers on ?
4 more than a square one then , but in you do it by the KG per roll they square ones are cheaperAbout 20
That's the part I'd be pretty unsure of unless it's a hellova good square baler.4 more than a square one then , but in you do it by the KG per roll they square ones are cheaper
We have few people that compair it on the KG cost for the complete job & they say squares are cheaperThat's the part I'd be pretty unsure of unless it's a hellova good square baler.
Fair enough I'd say it will in drier stuff but can a square handle wet grass like a round ?We have few people that compair it on the KG cost for the complete job & they say squares are cheaper
Yes we have baled wet grass but its better in a square bale to be dryerFair enough I'd say it will in drier stuff but can a square handle wet grass like a round ?
Not today’s round balers4 more than a square one then , but in you do it by the KG per roll they square ones are cheaper
That’s not correct,I get 22 rounds to the roll and they are good heavy bales.Plenty would argue you need 8 layers on a square one cos of the flat sides trapping air, could easily be double the cost per bale.Anything below about 40%DM gets seriously expensive in squares if the baler will even do it.4 more than a square one then , but in you do it by the KG per roll they square ones are cheaper
Mostly dryer stuff we bale and lot is for horse world so needs to be good and 6 layers with extra care corners is what we put on and they all tell.us per kg it's cheaper than a round bale and a lot better the use and handleThat’s not correct,I get 22 rounds to the roll and they are good heavy bales.Plenty would argue you need 8 layers on a square one cos of the flat sides trapping air, could easily be double the cost per bale.Anything below about 40%DM gets seriously expensive in squares if the baler will even do it.
