Store lamb management

Normally I'm an October to March long keeper of store lambs but this year I've jumped in the fire pit to try some short keep lambs to have turned over by mid Sept/October

Long keep I dectomax and fluke everything but this wouldn't be suitable for short keep, they were ovivac-p treated 2 and a half weeks ago by the vendor, is it necessary to do them again? What else should I consider?

I don't want to spend unnecessarily and time is at a premium at this time of year so whatever I do has to be justified.

I usually give my short keep stores a fluke dose as well, the withdrawal is only 40 days and you usually have them for that time anyway. I find it good peace of mind knowing you have done your best

I would definitely do a Zolvix & a TE dose on, and probably fluke too if they were more than 6 weeks away from finishing. Keep them separated from your own sheep in case scab comes in (which is obviously a risk, sooner or later), and be prepared to dip & hold that group if it happens.

Used to be 70 days, didn't it?
Dectomax is longer than that. 63 days. Closamectin is shorter but two jabs 28 days from memory. Nothing with a very short withdrawal that’ll do scab really.
Never 70. Always 35. Closamectin is 56 days, its the bees knees but no good for short keep lambs
