I was inspired enough to go this morning, despite it pouring with rain on the way! It turned out nice 2 minutes before start. (y)

I was a bit late getting there this morning. The leaders had already done their first lap by the time I got to the start line.
It does make overtaking people all the more satisfying though, I'd caught the tail gunner up within our first lap (then had to walk with her a little way as I couldn't breathe from sprinting(ish) 2.5km).

318th out of 520 or so in 29m 44secs............we had a running club takeover hence lots of "fast folk"........ I was sticking to the "lithe" 28 minute pacer like glue..... for the first lap.
Then it started to rain & hail.
This wasn`t good as we turned the bottom corner into the teeth of it.... was like someone pushing you backwards especially for those of a larger frame...... little lithe Zoe (28 min pacer) lost me..... :(

Usual "grit & guns" blast up the finish hill toasted 5 folk. :)

Ohh.......... and as part of the "Training Regime" we walked to the event (1.3 miles) then walked one circuit (1.55miles), before running it,(3.1 miles) then walked home (1.3 miles)...... 7+ miles "in the legs".

Feet up watching the rugby............... mud plugging tomorrow!!

26.12 today which considering the headwind on a large section I'm happy with.

I do apologise  I had 2 miles left so was pretty broken and I have conjunctivitis so wasn’t wearing my contacts :banghead: I did think there was a chance it could be you but didn’t want to commit and be wrong

It was horrendous! The wind was head on from croesgoch until st David’s, and then when we turned by the tip back along the moor but the wind had changed direction  literally had to run backwards in places just to breathe!

Today was horrific, the wind was brutal and "in your face" for most of the course.
    A sluggish 307th out of 540 in 30m 23s....... was not a day for PB`s !!
Even the fast buggers were well off normal pace.

    Well done! :)

I knew we were "up against it" when the 30 min pacer was ahead of the 28 min pacer on the first lap.......and I still beat both of them!! :scratchhead::scratchhead: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
