I don’t think it’s suitable for diesel engines unless it specifically confirms it on the label. However, if you change your oil regularly, I don’t suppose there’s any harm in topping up with it if required.
If you have a small four stroke petrol engine, such as a lawnmower or quad bike, that is what I would use it for. Many people ignore oil and filter changes on these for too long and then bitch about them when they wear out prematurely.
