We currently have;

A fastrac 2135 with a GFX750 and Nav 900 with no steering. (Sprayer tractor_
A Claas Arion 650 with a GFX 750, Nav 900 and EZ Pilot Steering.

And a autosteer ready fastrac 4220, which was supposed to have a GFX and Nav 900, the supplier is struggling to get hold of a GFX so has offered us a good deal on a TMX 2050 should we take them up on it?

We currently use the steering for fert, slurry spraying drilling etc, but no isobus applications or autoshut off systems etc.

If we got a fert spreader or sprayer with section control does the section control need to be unlocked on the GFX screen, or does the spreader/sprayer just take the position off the gps and sort the sections itself?

Could we just get the rate control/section control unlocked on on screen and swap it around between the systems? So one day you might put fert on with the 4220 and another day on the arion or would they both need unlocking?

Im wondering basically if wed be better sticking with the GFX screen for future flexibility?

If the sprayer or fert spreader came with section control then you'll only need the speed/position input from the tractor.
If you wanted to make an existing implement do section/rate control then you'd need the unlock on the gfx/tmx.
The unlock would stay with that screen, it's not something you can swap about, unless you swap that screen from tractor to tractor, then obviously it will do different things on different machines.

the tmx and gfx has nothing that is interchangeable. and the gfx is the newer screen and will bee continued in development . the tmx is old harware architecture and probably has its days numberd.
i would stay whit the gfx but the bigger screen on the tmx i nice though.

also section control is alwasy in the display. so if you want to use section control whit your spreader you either buy the manufacturers display witch has sectioncontrol unlock witch you will have to pay extra(aprox 3000£) for or unlock your gfx display aprox (1000£) and take the manufacturer display of the price on the spreader.

i thought the receiver was in the screen on trimble? the blob on the roof is only an antenna?
older displayes has it integrated in the display. but the newer gfx displayes has the reciver in the antenna. but there is a difference. corrections unlocks are in the antenna. but implement unlocks are in the displaye on the newer ones.

I was moaning (as usual) about cost of unlock codes and dealer said I could swap RTk unlock between machines and onto next tractor as it's on receiver. Ours is a 372 receiver I think.

So say I put the gfx in the new fastrac, and get section control unlocked.

If I bought a section control isobus fert spreader I could use it on any tractor I have just by hitching it up and putting the unlocked GFX screen in? No need to swap nav controller etc?

yes exactly. you will only need the vehicle profiles saved in both displays since they are also stored in the displays. but that is something you can do whit a usb
