My first bike was an 2002 ZXR636, was the last of the model on carbs before going to Injection and it use to spit some massive flames out the exhaust on the rundown! Not got any digital pics but this was the colour scheme.

Put over 13000 miles on it in the first year I got it and absolutely loved every one of them. Even won the up to 750cc Ramsey sprint on it at the Manx GP, I’ll have to have a look for my trophy

The KH's make a certain noise.
I bet that was a reluctant sale, but the bank balance would of looked healthy afterwards.
In the back of the Dainese shop in Wolverhampton, the restore KH's
£5,000 if I remember. It went in the war fund for divorce !!
It was a 1976 H2 750 with only 18,000 miles on the clock. Imported from USA
Im guessing over £10,000 today !

That oil cooled 1100 was some motor!
1992 interesting year.
I was looking to change the red Exup, had a demo on the blue exup with the new usd forks and tweaks motor.
Then off to local Honda dealer to demo the just released Fireblade (sorry mate, don’t have a demonstrator) so off down to Chippenham for a go on the blue version of your GSXr.
What a bike pulled like a train and sounded great.
But for me, I fealt the Yam had slightly better breaks and George Whites were offering a better deal.

Mines a 91 Friday night half breed between an L & M to the point that if I need any parts I have to use the chassis number to be sure I get the right ones. Totally love it but have never pushed her to her limits, I'm on a Gixxer page and they are talking of fitting turbos

The Speedo stopped at 180mph on my K8 gsxr 1000 however the revs just kept climbing! A bike with a turbo must be just plain silly, a lot of fun though 😬

I honestly don't know how fast my old girl will go, I've never had her flat out and when you get her wound a way up I daren't take my eyes off the road.
Ye things come at you fast at them sort of speeds, however I always found that once you’ve over 100 it didn’t make much difference how much faster you went 😂.

This is a video going over the mountain at the TT on my GSXR K7 750,

My mate says, and I agree, everything up to 120mph is a doddle, I actually think that should be the motorway speed limit. When my Bike was a baby, it virtually was. It's when you get faster than that it starts to get interesting.
It's crap that if you go out nowadays you could be looking at jail time if you get caught :(

A bit more than 10k I’d say.
Bikes are fetching crazy money.
Did 750 eat plugs like the 250 did?.
Mind you plugs have improved since I was riding my KH back in ‘82
How many bikes have spare spark plug holders.

That’s the trouble now, far too much traffic on the roads and plod is always after the easy money! I stopped going into Wales many years ago as every time I went I came home with points 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

No never fouled a plug. Think plugs and oil is much better now than back then

list of road registered bikes in the past. As you can see, a definite dirt bias. I did love that Buell though . . .

Honda XR250 1983
Honda XR250. 1991
Yamaha XT
Ducati Pantah 650
Honda NX650
Kawasaki Z1000
Buell XB9r
Suzuki DR650
Honda XR250 2002

current bikes
Yamaha WR450. “The Whippet”. Long Range Desert Weapon with 36 litre fuel capacity & increased engine oil capacity

2002 Aprilia ETV1000 Caponord. “Fat Tony”, the overweight Italian gangster 🤣. Great gravel roads tourer on knobby tyres 👍

only trials riding here. Unfortunately haven’t competed for 2-3 years, pandemic hasn’t helped along with holding our own wedding and building a new business. I was dead set on starting again this October until I pulled some ligaments to bits in my foot, getting better now but November doesn’t look good as we are having a big party at home because we had a small pandemic wedding, so most weekends is getting ready for that, then we’ll sell Xmas trees in December so that’s every weekend gone! January it is! Pisses me off I have a great bike and room to practice but always give my time to everybody else! It’s doesn’t help this year we had a tractor fire and a catastrophic gearbox failure in another so we are very behind at work

That looks so much fun!
Same here, roads are busy 7 days a week.
Over the yrs, I seem to be visiting various mates in Wales, more and more.
I bought a late original Africa Twin a few yrs ago, to tame the progress.
Great riding position, but lack of power is pushing me towards one like you've pictured.
Is it one of those with the auto box?View attachment 994578
