Love it, I had a Z900 back in the late seventies....

Goose in the original Mad Max rode a Z didn’t he ?

I bought an old Z1100 at one time that I gave the rattle can black treatment, was a cool old bike but had some expensive issues . . .

in hindsight, I wish I’d kept it

along with the Ducati, the Buell, the NX650 . . .

I have never sold a bike that I didn’t regret afterwards 😢

£5,000 if I remember. It went in the war fund for divorce !!
It was a 1976 H2 750 with only 18,000 miles on the clock. Imported from USA
Im guessing over £10,000 today !
I know a chap in S Shropshire that I grew up with in the early/mid 70s. who is a huge bike enthusiast. Few years older than me.

He got in touch 2 years ago, wanting to know if I could help him with locating a couple of bikes I had once owned.... 40 yrs later, no way! ;-) He had accumulated a pretty massive collection of bikes over the years... something of a pension I called it! 30-40 bikes easily, most pre-1975 I'd say, and knowing him, all in working order and tidy condition. I remember one or two 1950/1960 Brit bangers he had, a neat Triton, a Goldie lookalike etc etc. Several Bantams that he saved from the grasstrackers. One I loved as a lad, was a Corgi, the bike developed for Paratroopers in WW2.

What was interesting to hear, was how he had got married late in life to what I would politely call, something of a carpet bagger.... 3 years later she left, and attempted to take him to the Cleaners. He was always a "careful" chap, and had the vast majority of the bike collection in an industrial unit that his wife never knew about... Sensible man!! (y)

I wonder what will happen to his collection....

(y) Yes, anything more than 10 years old benefits... I did one of the Transalps and it transformed it.

I was thinking only yesterday that my old Honda NX400 would benefit from a new brake hose on the front... Rather squodgy...
Finally recieved a full set for the AT.
Jezz they are shocking!!
