Walrow farm is valued by SS at £650,000. I have seen some remarks that have cast doubt on this, but no reason given. Can anybody tell me why or how the valuation is likely to be inflated? apart from the obvious fact that Philips is a crook). I already know how he's done it with Acorn house. Real estimate for Walrow? Is it for sale somewhere? Can't find it.(

Think I can help you here. History has established many of the property valuations in which Phillips has been involved are to put it in the nicest possible way 'customised to suit'. To suit whom you may well ask but I'll leave you to make your own mind up on that, no disrespect intended.

High cashflow/turnover can cover up a multitude of sins (rob Peter to pay Paul) but as Phillips is finding out this doesn't last forever. With the help of his cronies and the failings of the 'system' the criminality was able to keep going for as long as it has and sod the consequences to the victims.

Spot on.The carousel is about to come to a shuddering halt, some will try and jump, others will have to hold on for grim death, there will be casualties. Our latest journalist friend will only be one of many, clamouring for this story, the numbers of affected people have been grossly underestimated, this is a huge story with sub plots galore .There will be a cost to those ill gotten gains.

I see in August the lender went back to ask the surveyor to review his valuation of the 'office block'

...following which the surveyor left the firm

coincidence or what?

Whats in a name

Well quite a lot really under FCA rules Conc 2.3.3R prevents a firm using a name that might mislead customers as to the nature of the business.
If a group of companies has two companies one called Lancashire Mortgage Corporation Ltd and the other Bridging Finance Ltd. Would you expect a loan from Lancashire Mortgage Corporation to be a Bridging Loan or a pre-computed Mortgage.

Why does it all matter well there just changing the name from Lancashire Mortgage Corporation Ltd to Together Financial Services Ltd.

Cannot think of anywhere in the world where a brown envelope is not part of the trade negotiations. Dont know why people are surprised its a skill that has been around for centuries.
