Trying to find out more details about there case and if they where represented by a barrister at the trial or whether there will be an appeal. Seems to be very few details apart from the press release which smacks of a cover up. As you say Red Bull a bit to much of a coincidence for my liking.
I understand if 'names' are mentioned during a hearing/trial it is within the powers of the judge to impose reporting restrictions. The latter is not necessarily a 'cover up' but is often ordered for purpose of future exposure.
Just an observation but as the crow flies the farm in question is within about a mile of what was the Phillips family farm. I was really sorry to learn of this sad affair.

It really is a sad affair, but beneath those headlines is a tale which beggars belief, a tale of facts which reads as fiction. They certainly didn't "use" the money to live the high life and buy Range Rovers etc. Ignoring the location factor to a certain family farm, what about the neighbouring farm??

Yes, it did cross my mind but I didn't feel inclined to relate the two at the moment. Suffice to say it is two prime examples of the extremes people can be pushed to.
I haven't seen Jack Parfitt for about ten years now but have known of him, on an occasional basis, for approaching sixty years. I will not comment on his farming or business acumen but I've always known him to be a decent bloke and I wish him well. The latter does not imply I condone the actions recently publicised by HMRC.

According to the latest update "the borrower who is one of the tennants is being evicted and pursued personally for non payment of rent". Karma!
And when he has left with his token pencil, a quick walk round the carpark and he is back in again as an employee of another phoenixed company that has taken it over.

I think you'll find he's out on his ear & he wont get anywhere near the place again with the locks changed, I bet the lender is furious with being sold a load of bullsh*t from the outset putting the investors at risk, including this pearler from 4 months ago

The borrower is repaying the loan in full (advised by his solicitors). Currently in legals with other lender.

Wonder if HMRC chased where the money went?
They need to, to try to reclaim it.
Clearly if the Parfitts had had it all, why was the farm re-possessed?
Represents an awful lot of cider, or a gambling habit so big that it would be difficult to hide, if they just frittered £1.9M away.
