Gone from 8370rt to 8370rx. No comparison. Rx streets ahead. Turns sharp on headland with no soil heave from tracks. More comfortable on roads and fields than rt. Seems a more balanced machine. No issues in the damp and wet with one track spinning out as with rt.

Gone from a 600 quad to an 8rx 410 done 1000 acres of mole draining twin leg since April and it pulled out 12m sprinter up our steepest hills the other day. It doesn’t toy with the kit like the quad did but it’s absolutely fine and a lovely machine to drive, considering its 200hp less I am very pleased.

We had a 8RX 410 in August 20, replacing a JD 8345 RT, the RX is a great all round tractor in that it cures a lot of a twin track short comings, it’s a lot more suited to 3 point linkage work and pulls better around corners.
Most of its time has been spent pulling Vaderstad 8 m Rapid, 10.3 m Rexius Twin press, 5m Shackeraker and triple bed former for potatoes, we have all so had on a fully mounted 7 furrow plough, it’s been hard to fault it on any of these implements, we’ve only added weight to the front with the plough.
lm still not a big fan of the e23 gearbox having used auto power gearbox on the 8345RT,but it’s liveable, there are still range change gears that you are reluctant to use when pulling hard.
The engine is good, we rarely run above 1800 rpm and it seems to just hang on.
Fuel and add blue use is no more or less than you would expect for a tractor that size.
Taking it on the road is relatively stress less compared to older twin tracks, you can get a bit of drivetrain chatter at certain speeds and the front end can jump up and down a bit at certain times but these issues are more to do with the quality of the road surface, it travels better on the road when you are carrying a bit of weight, we tend not to travel faster than 35 k .
Hydraulics are good, they fit bigger couplers to the first spool which is a bit of a pain , we had adapters made to bring them back to standard size.
Cab is great, seat swivel, foot pegs, air con , ventilation, controls, radio, visibility all spot on !! Don’t seem to have as much room down the left hand side of the seat for your lunch bag as the RT, tend to use the right hand side now.
A hand rail around the rear of the cab would be helpful when cleaning the back window, can’t understand why one isn’t fitted
Lights are great, the RX attracts the most flies 🪰
Overall we are really pleased with the RX, a second one is due next week.

Thankyou guys gives me some confidence in a big decision I’ve to make .
replacing a jd 8345rt , I tried the e23 box and as said I don’t think it’s as nice as a auto power but was quite impressed in auto mode in the field, I did think when it hit a good hill it sat at low revs a bit too long before pick up but engine seemed tourquey, I think it could be set better in custom when I get used to it ?

Yes I think that would be fine. I think the 8370 you can get in auto power but not the 410

I had heard the track gear wasn't lasting well. Anyone confirm this?.

That was an operator in Aussie.

Apparently the tracks are horribly expensive as well.

I’ll be asking this , I was told £18000 a set but also heard in the twenties !!!
I don’t think the depth of tread is the same as an equivalent twin track so suspect they won’t quite last the same hours?
i did wonder whether they had less tread to reduce pressure on other components?

I cant remember the last time a specific high hp machine sold as quickly as these 8RX Deeres!! In my part of the fens everyone has already got one, with some now getting two. I feel sorry for the competition who all have great tractors available in the RXs power range but seemingly are being over looked. One of the locals had a new Fendt MT900 but thats it.

I can't really remember but I was told I think they might just be failing.. or something like that. I'll do some home work
