We all know it’s coming, and hopefully a bit dumbed down this year. So how are people planning on responding or countering the general b*ll*cks that goes with it?
We supply an online farmers market with pies, pasties, cakes, lamb, beef etc. I rather hit the roof when I read that they were asking what pies and pasties we’ll have available next week as they want to do a veganuary promotion, so in response we’re doing discounted lamb through January, even though market prices are rising.
Anybody got similar ideas or good 1 liner responses?
My stock answers are:
a) Our sheep and cattle are vegan, therefore suitable for vegan diets.
b) Sorry, we only do ethical food.

I might give Veganjuanary a go,
After being an omnivore for life, I might see what this plant based diet is all about for 31 days
Change is as good as a rest....as they say

I tried it for about 3 days while fencing and I was exhausted on the 4th, took a day to recover

I like your stock answers especially B . sorry we only do ethical food.

100% home grown with no air miles to destroy or climate.
Just tell them to look how well stock are selling atm..... Veganarism (spelling???) is not taking the world by storm.

Veganuary will be a much tamer affair this year. AR are out of puff (low iron), nothing planned for it on their FB page.

That said, there is a new campaign being launched next week saying that cows are responsible for 5% of all UK greenhouse gas emissions. we will need to be ready to counter that one.

Are the NFU launching that one, or AHDB?
