Washing out fert spinners

Do people wash their spinners out after every use i.e if you're using it for a week solid would you wash it at the end of every day or just at the end of the week? I've always done it every day but someone said recently to me they don't see the need to. I do sometimes have the issue of the inside of the spinner being damp if I wash out in the evening and then start again early the next morning which obviously isn't ideal so it would solve this issue if I were to just wash out once finished with it for a while. Thoughts?

I used to religiously wash and squirt over with a bit of diesel every evening

But that was before I put up a waterproof shed to park the spreader within overnight 🙄

Provided the vanes aren't caked and can't be scraped clean, I'll now even leave a bit of fert in it if I'm going back out in the morning

Spreader is near 25 year old now, and still has very little rust, none at the bottom of the hoppers

Mines done when I'm finished the job.

Could be 1 day could be a few days before its washed I usually try to not let it go more than 4 days .

I used to wash out every day but had issues with the day being cut short to wash and having a wet hopper the following morning so give up and usually just finish the job I'm on before cleaning now

Yep this is the problem I've had in the past wet hopper the next morning! Think I'll just wash when the job is done in future 👍

Snow foam to remove any surface contamination and steam clean it out after each use and dry it with the leaf blower from the inside out

Yeah I'd always wash out if there was damp in the hopper at the end of the day asking for trouble else. But if dry should be fine then
You're not really going to be any better off the next morning if the hopper's clean, but damp. I just go round the bottom with a blue electric fence post and make sure any residue from the night before is shoved down the holes before I start again. Often do that every load if spreading dusty stuff in damp weather.
