What is this?

This is growing through my Autumn reseed, thought it might be Wild oats, but now not sure as it is so strong. Any ideas?

Looks like Sorghum or Sudan Grass or a hybrid of the two. Commonly grown as a summer catch crop over here. If it is, you must be somewhere mild as it doesn't like a hard frost.

Is there a lot of it? It would need to be lot but can be a bit dangerous if grazed when young or short regrowth. Wilted for hay and silage and well grown is no problem.

What ever it is it came in the grass seed, Up to now we have had literally no frost, and it is for making haylage for the horse trade, so will not be cut probably until end of may or early June. Will it gradually die out or could it become a problem?

I've seen it sown with maize in game cover strips to add some "bottom" to the crop.
Normally wiped out by frost, so never gets as far as setting viable seed and becoming a weed problem.
