I imagine it’s a trap with a one way door so they can get in and not get back out, like a giant Larson trap.

as long as none escape ( & learn from it ) you can keep using it for quite a while
Seen drop traps used a escaped pigs never seen again, guess as long as the pigs take the bait your trap will keep yielding , how many are you removing like that?

I had some correspondence with a Welsh spaniel breeder/trainer who had emigrated to Texas. He reckoned wild pig hunting with a pack of pit bull terrier crosses on quad bikes beat any other sport he had tried. Do a search on Youtube and you may agree!
Done a bit of pig hunting in NZ with dogs, seemed to use blue healers a lot and whatever dog they found in the pound
Man fined £300 for bonfire-related waste offences

A man has pleaded guilty at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in Newtownards, Co. Down.
Gareth Gill (51) of Abbot’s Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to two charges under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, for which he was fined £150 each and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy
On June 25, 2018, PSNI officers went to Gill’s yard, where they found a large amount of waste consisting of scrap wood, pallets, carpet and underlay.
Discussion with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) officers confirmed the site...
