This sums up what I am thinking now. It is an age thing for me because that is not how I thought 10 years ago. It doesen't have to be JD they just came to mind as the most popular premium brand. My next tractor will probably be my last so I want to get it right. My local dealer (where I would probably get the best trade price) also sells Hurlimanns, any of you Cumbrian folk run XB's or XM's and if so how do you rate them?
I’ve a Hurlimann & I like it, there’s quite few in the area & owners rate them?? Mines a lot older than what you’d be looking at but has aircon/airseat & powershift - none of which were on my wish list when searching & certainly weren’t on the fergies I was looking at! But they make a hell of a difference to using the tractor, I’ve sciatica & the airseat means I can drive for longer without being crovocked! Therefore I reckon go for spec/deal over brand! A hurlimann is the same as a claas & a deutz & there dealers are fairly near to Tunstalls to compare deals!

Careful - depends on the model.

There is 1 Claas which is built by SAME. But none of the SAME/Deutz/Hurlimann ranges are built by Claas

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
