This is a fair point.But we're in the game. We know roughly what things should be worth. We have an inkling about specs ( Euro or USA specs etc ). We are familiar with pics from larger dealers yards. Someone who's just bought a small holding might not have this knowledge. They may feel a 30 year old tractor that's priced at £5k is fair ( a car that age would be £300 ).
If it's not from an established dealer, you should go and have a look however. Probably best to stick to local dealers too.

And the advent of cazoo and cinch has in a way played into the scammers hands.
People nowadays are getting lazy. Far too comfortable parting with large sums of money with just a few clicks with total confidence
