Has it got a tow hitch? Hang it up with the telehandler , that's what I used to do with the land rover.. easy then to remove the transfer box then gearbox, and get at the clutch..
yes ,fitted it myself not long ago. clevis and ball hd one. can prop it when up as well for safety

Fill some bags with loose straw to put under the front for protection as you lift it..oldish no value car.. what's to loose...garage often costs more than the car is worth.
need something on the front to soften the blow because the wheels will have to be off /drive shafts out/ ie front wheel drive

A 4 post for just over 2k
Didn't suit me, because of room taken up in workshop and easier to, for eg, weld a sill on without the platform in the way. But on plus side, perhaps doesn't need such good floor to bolt to?
I got one same as Nealy above, just got new cables to fit sometime. Think about £160/pr.

Could you lift a small trailer with yours. A flat bed or such like

Don't see why not, so long as the wheels pass between the posts. The 4 legs extend enough to reach the four jacking points on any car I've tried, so will probably reach the four corners of an 8ft trailer body.

Has the benefit that all those lost coins and pens will reaper from under the seats!

I paid £950 for this a few years ago ( second hand ) - you’re not going to be able to make anything (safe) for less than that surely ?
