Recommend me a car ( no this isnt a pickup thread)

Sister had one. Once it got up for 80k miles started to become a pita with repairs, adblue pumps and lights etc.
That's the problem with most diesels these days. There's a spot between 80 - 120k when they can cost BIG money. BMW and Merc timing chains, Injectors (everything), Adblue pumps, EGR, DPF, Injector seals you name it. Diesels over 80k are always a gamble. sometimes you win others you don't

See i liked the look of the dacia jogger for the money, but i went onto a forum about them and all i could read was about bad clutches which put me off a bit, mabe thats sorted now?
My sister runs a Sandero and loves it and no problems so far, will be the same engine and box as the Jogger. I'll look at the Duster when I change for sure.

Whats mpg like? Was wanting to get a petrol then convert to lpg. I see they do this as factory fit option on other models but not the jogger for some reason which is a disappointment

Getting time to change, looking for small crossover ,suv , something I can step into not fall into and have to heave myself out. Don't want a ladder to get in either.
Reliable , comfortable, reasonable economy, and a spritely drive , want decent performance doesn't have to be fire-breathing but don't want to crawl about either.
Currently got a 12 year old cx 5 it's becoming unreliable, only done 90k . But it's one thing after another now.
Don't need anything that big.
Recommendation s Tia.
What's up with the CX5? I'm on number 2 and never had any bother, is it diesel? They're very popular here.

Just google mazda 2.2 diesel problems. The root cause is injector seals and worn injectors causing oil dilution. Also a rivet that drops of in the flap between the wee turbo and the big one.

Unfortunately the internet diagnosed the injector problem (incorrectly) as failed regen due to low miles driving so most cars were never sorted properly.

Volvo xc60 t6 petrol. Thread ended

As my teacher told me always read the question :) I'm not sure the XC fits that brief....

My wife had Hyundai Santa Fe's for years as a work car, newer ones had a fair bit of room in the third row.
Good cars, each update improves them, not big money down here compared to Euro stuff, might be different with you though 🤷‍♂️
Thats quite a good reccomendation for a budget option thanks

Someone told me avoid new diesel cars. Too much emissions shite.
They're fine for long journeys and always were. Most problems were down to misfuelling and then driving them before noticing. Wrong oil put in by back street garages, running on poor / hooky diesel etc. I know of loads that are well over 100k but if you do under 15k miles a year go petrol.

That I don't know tbh and she's only had hers 1 a year or so. I suspect that aftermarket conversions could have issues ( I'm thinking like the switch from leaded to unleaded and valve sets etc) but the Dacia is a proper factory job. Main problem is availability of autogas but when she bough hers it was same price as the petrol version and there's a garage selling it near by. She came from a 1.1 car and said its loads cheaper to run so it must be cheap.
