I re seeded a field last year and there's a lot of thistles growing on it, what's the best spray or way to get rid of them? It's a 10 acre field so might spot spray with knapsack

That’s a shame, probably be to spray, I had a reseed come full of scotch ones a few years back and just went with a sharp spade and some headphones and chopped them out. Worked a treat. Spray wasn’t an option though as I had plantain and clover in the mix.
I ve got a last years reseed the same, the drought hammered the grass and clover but didn’t seem to bother the weeds. I just heavy rolled it and will mow it early. Hopefully that will sort them.

I whack a dozen a day getting the cows in... That'll be a couple thousand by the end of the grazing season!

If it's creeping thistle, spot spraying is a thankless and often pointless exercise in my experience...

Thistlex overall when it's warmed up a bit.
