Really cold here and ground is saturated2 degrees here overnight so keeping it in the can for a bit longer won't hurt.
It’s remarkable how quickly the spikes fekers can grow though

Exactly the same problem hereI re seeded a field last year and there's a lot of thistles growing on it, what's the best spray or way to get rid of them? It's a 10 acre field so might spot spray with knapsack
That’s a shame, probably be to spray, I had a reseed come full of scotch ones a few years back and just went with a sharp spade and some headphones and chopped them out. Worked a treat. Spray wasn’t an option though as I had plantain and clover in the mix.
Snap. Bought a mattock especially for the job. What a great tool!Did a couple hours today doing exact the same.
What about using Thistlex with a quad bike sprayer?By rights you cant use ThistleX in a hand held and your not supposed to mow it in same year.
MCPA ,you may as well top them for thevgood that does IMO

It just seems daft it is legal to spray with a boom on quad bike but not a hand lanceWhat about using Thistlex with a quad bike sprayer?
My experience is mcpa will kill them like that, make you feel very good about yourself, but next year be back again.Found the photos. Absolutely nailed every one. Near 2L/ha forefront plus adjuvant. Note that they were sprayed way beyond what would be considered the normal accepted spray timing.

Thistlex makes me sleepy!!Slightly off topic but while your talking,,, do any of you guys suffer with a sore / dry throat after using any of those herbicides mentioned above? My eyes also tend to be sore. I'm in all the safety gear but just the smell seems to get me .
