Is there a time out on typing a response. I know I was a bit slow on a long response but it just vanished. Relogged in again and usually it would still be there but this time totally vanished. needless to say I did not retype.

Will have a look to that, we have changed any of the autosave settings.

Ok thanks Clive I will redelete them off my phone and iPad, I thought it was all being done today. Well done, I have been here from the beginning near enough, after the last place crashed anyway, I know it has been a big team effort but thank you for getting the ball rolling and keeping it going. I am not sure you will ever réalise just how many people it has helped and in so many different ways ( I probably wouldn’t now be farming in France were it not for this forum)Keep up the good work all of you.

the upgrade needed to happen before we could test the new app

hopefully a month or so away from launch ……. but don’t hold us to that !!! stuff can go wrong and often does !

thanks for your kind words

we already offer a “go advertisement free” option that costs per month less than a single copy of Farmers Weekly (which is ironically full of adverts !)

advert revenue is significant but so is the investment and running costs of a site like this. People are making a living and UK tax is being paid ……. sadly noone is making a “fortune” though . personally I maybe just about past break even now just 9 years in !

What about a sticky thread for those seeking farm access for metal detecting, vermin shooting, and photography but at a price of £? per annum? Come on; herd them all into one thread and make a few bob towards site costs.

I've got the same problem as HFD Cattle in post 82. Or at least I think I have. I can't actually read his post properly because of some "style chooser" overlay. I'm on ipad too. I also have a google type advert obliterating every opening post.

I see we now have a progress bar down the rhs which is visible when you move the screen up or down. I kept bemoaning the loss of it in the last update which never got resolved, so a big thank you from me on that one.

Ah programming!! Tell me about it!! Hours for keyboard warriors to design stuff. Sure it’s not cheap. But everything has to evolve or eventually die away.

Many years ago I bought a second-hand upgraded Sinclair for our lad and spent all Christmas typing in a listing for three dimensional Os & Xs. Whilst debugging the listing I eventually pressed the the key 'NEW' instead of 'NEWLINE' and the whole thing disappeared into thin air and is still probably zooming around the universe, somewhere!:eek::eek:
