Fss or bought in seed this year

There is no reason an arable farm should not save their own seed- you know the providence of it and level of likely weed infestation far better than anyone. If you want to try new varieties then you are of course able to purchase some.

Treat a small area extra special and keep the wild oats etc out and save that.

My dresser and seed treater have paid for themselves about 10 times over. Be sure to do PA11 for the red tractor man though; even just to see his face drop when he thinks he’s caught you out 😂 talking of wild oats; I thought I’d go cheap this year with Topik; I literally would have been better off staying in bed that day…very disappointing control. Never usually have a problem but they’re everywhere this year. One field had Pacifica plus that did ok-is there anything else that’s as good but cheaper?

It isn't crazy expensive to get grain dressed and cleaned up really. The mobile boys do a good job and I personally wouldn't want to get involved with the red stuff as it's pretty horrible to work with. Down here, I'd be very tempted to get all my seed dressed with manganese as well but I'd be kidding myself if I thought it would make me more money.
