dirty beet field help

Back on topic to the OP.

Depends on the size & number of charlock plants but I've had them in swedes ugly but not taken the yeild you might expect. Fat hen a far worse weed, sucks all the water up

I assume your crops will be fully meeting in the rows, not easy to hoe if so.
The better patches the rows are full the worst bits look like a wild flower meadow🤦‍♂️

Oh dear.

Trying hoeing but it might bung up very quickly. Need it on the back of the tractor not the front, easier to deal with the trash then.

Really bad charlock will wipe the crop out especially in a dry summer. But what looks bad now from a few plants, the charlock will seed die back & the beet grow on in October.

Really sorry to preach, I guess you were busy with other things.

But hoeing is best done before the two leaf stage.

I've been in same postion as you with swedes. But even worse because they are under nets.

parts of my fodder beet is full of charlock
its had 3 sprays of debut and others before but the bloody charlock is thriving over about a third of the crop
is there anything that will tidy it up and save what beet are left ?

bit gutted about it as normally get a reasonable crop but this 1 is certainly challenging

I was involved in purchasing one of these from Germany for the Veg farm
We didn’t even go and see it working we just bought it as we see it working on YouTube

Do you have a website for the company.

I like the rear mounted loader that rotates. Seen a video of it laying crop covers down, great for clearing snow too.

Edit Maybe a bit expensive looking
