Strange call about tractor survey

I’ve had the same call, from a company called Syntax (or something similar), they used to be Farm Research Centre and did questionnaires about ag chemicals for Amazon or M&S vouchers.
The company is legit and will be doing market research for a particular brand

I have regular visits 2,3, 4 times a year by a local gentleman doing surveys on seed, fertiliser, crop sprays, and machinery.Been visiting us for the past 15 or so years.Always get vouchers or a bottle of malt whisky etc etc.

Do you run a business? I get unknown callers most if not everyday
Yep I run 2. I’ll only answer the call if it’s convenient to me to identified callers otherwise I’d never get anything done. I try and return most of the calls while driving (on handsfree obviously). Chatting on the phone wastes so much time if it’s while you’re doing something else and quite often the caller is oblivious to that fact. Rather than rushing the conversation and being rude I just turn the tables. Works for me 🤷‍♂️

I very regularly get calls and I answer and say hello but if no reply I end call and block number.are these computer generated and when a call gets answered some one eventually picks up their end after about 5 seconds.drives me mad.

Lucky don't seem to get them on the mobile but get some on the landline and they can be quite fun.
had one about washing machine warranty I told them I didn't have a washing machine so they asked how I do the washing I told them I have a large smooth stone down by the river, end of conversation.
had one about loft insulation, on about one thing and another till we got to the bit about access to the loft I said its OK if you are only 4 inches tall as its a mobile home, end of conversation
