    7310r or 6250r?

Weighing up our options, currently running a 7310r as our prime mover but we only really need the power for 3 months of the year. Thinking a 6250r with the new hyd boost may be a more versatile option? Needs to be able to pull a 6m horsch sprinter on 5"dutch coulters well which is about as hard...

    Old Moore Unidrill

Does anyone know how the old Moore unidrills compare with the new red ones. I know they have the small metal wheels to roll in the ground behind the discs whereas the new ones often have a packer roller. Has anyone retrofitted an old Moore Unidrill with a packer roller rather than the metal wheels?

The book says it’s available for hydraulic applications. Salesman didn’t really give a clear yes or no. Any current...

    Sprinter vs Sabre Tine

Currently considering a 6m sprinter on dutch/metcalf etc, but also giving consideration to Sabre tine (new type 4 row prob front tank). Anybody run both? Would be used either as direct drill or on very lightly cultivated ground? Sprinter would need full width packer for depth.

I managed to get 3 DD drills on demo in the last couple of days. the field is going spring wheat in late March so the emerging crop will not be taken to harvest. But here are a few pictures. No doubt there will be some criticism that I drilled the wrong crop on the wrong day with the wrong...

    Direct drill comparison

I have been looking at direct drills for a while now. Specifically looking at the moore unidril, the claydon, the horsch (though ruled that out as they are too expensive and too long in a trailed option) and the weaving (disc or tine). Recently also come across the simtech. We have a mix of...

    Any Claydon users out there?

I'm struggling with my Claydon to get it to bury the seed and not block up at the same time! It runs fine and the soil flows through the leading tines and the seed Coulters. But the final row of ' boards' as I call them just don't fill in the troughs made by the Coulters and when you increase...
