Dont know whats in your mix but it will be over 40% very small seeds at least ,firm shallow seedbed , i would roll it if its baked hard lumps , brodcast the seed and role again , if its wet just brodcast it. Deep drilling is the kiss of death

All mine had a Topdown at 4-6" at speed then power harrow to level it. Drill with an air drill with the coulters lifted almost completely out of the ground, just the wheel eradicators and following harrows in the ground. Roll it tight. My soil wasn't as baked out as yours - best to wait for rain to soften the lumps as it will not tolerate deep drilling at all.

Broadcast it & roll it in if you are impatient. I had good establishment from 6th September sowing last year, but I did get rain shortly afterwards.

You'll be topping it repeatedly, so worth getting it level IMO. Check for slugs after sowing - I had to dose mine after wheat after osr on clay.
